Nooshift Review

nooshift reviewNooshift is a popular nootropic supplement made by the brain supplement manufacturer, Project Nooyou. I’m going to shoot you straight, this Nooshift review is going to show you a rather average brain supplement and certainly not a real threat to dethrone any of our top brain supplements we’ve ranked over the past year, however, its not bad, either.

Nooshift Benefits

Nooshift, like any other nootropic, aims to enhance memory and focus by way of natural ingredients. The nootropic industry is a billion dollar industry now because there are all kinds of reliable science that show brain health can be stimulated by natural ingredients. Nooshift lives up to their claims, but not as much as some of their other competitors in the space.

Nooshift Ingredients

A nootropic’s ingredients are the core value of the brain supplement. If the ingredients suck, so follows the supplement. Let’s have a quick look at Nooshift ingredients and then take a deeper dive into what’s good and what’s bad.

nooshift ingredients

There is little doubt that Ashwagandha is one of the most popular supplements around, even on an individual level. Its a top seller. Classified as an adaptogen, Ashwagandha is known for possessing a ton of benefits for the brain and all throughout the body. Ashwagandha has benefits for blood sugar levels, it is known to help lower cortisol levels which lower stress, and it may even increase testosterone. There are also a number of studies, including this study, which shows Ashwagandha as beneficial to the brain. Rejoice, that’s the point of a nootropic. But don’t celebrate for too, too long, because although I love Ashwagandha, I’m not sure if having a nootropic centered around it is great stuff.

Alpha GPC ingredient essentially influences acetylcholine, which is utilized by our brains to help stave off issues such as dementia. Some people call it choline, but in reality, Alpha GPC is a prodrug for choline. Let’s not get too scienced up for our own goods, just know that Alpha GPC is a legit nootropic ingredient.

Taurine is essential to the human body. It helps with insuline production and is even considered an antioxidant. The Japanese are known to have high levels of Taurine in them and they live for a very long time. Evidence enough? Maybe not totally, but this stuff is definitely pretty darn good.

Dimethylamineotheanol or DMAE, for short, is a controversial ingredient that is mostly used in cosmetics. Found in sardines and anchovies, DMAE are supposed to help increase memory and advance the overall health of the brain by boosting acetylcholine levels. But there is a lot of contradicting info out there. This truly is a hit or miss ingredient.

Nooept is intended to help with anxiety and depression. One major study actually referred to nooept as the “original nootropic” and it is widely accepted as a powerful protector of the brain.

Nooshift ingredients are overall average. You could honestly buy Ashwagandha as a single supplement and probably save some money and fair just as well. I’m not a fan of nootropics that lack some of the critical brain-boosting ingredients such as L-Theanine and Rhodiola Rosea. The addition of DMAE might be sketchy for some buyers. I think you could do better with a number of other supplements listed on our top nootropic supplements list, but that’s just me, and I’m super biased.

Pros

  • Ashwagandha and Alpha GPC are solid brain health influencers
  • Good company that won’t rip you off

Cons

  • There is simply too much competition out there and Nooshift just doesn’t step up
  • Lack of L-Theanine or Rhodiola Rosea hurt the overall ingredient make up

Conclusion

This Nooshift review wraps up with about a 2.5 star rating. Nooshift isn’t blatantly bad, it’s just that the nootropic industry is so competitive that all brain supplements need to bring their A game in order to compete in the market. I’d recommend you check out our nootropic reviews list and search through other, more reliable formulas. You can also get a lot of nootropic facts as well. Buying any supplement comes down to educating yourself. A few days of reading time could save you a lot of frustration and money.

If you did purchase Nooshift, you certainly didn’t get ripped off. We’d love to hear about your experiences in the comments. However, until Nooshift comes out with a new version that features some more relevant brain health ingredients, we can’t recommend it.
