Nootropics are one of the most powerful brain hacks that man has access to. And this isn’t a particularly new horizon, at least not for everyone. If you’ve been searching for a solid brain supplement (and you must be seeing you landed here) then you have to know that the buzz for nootropics has never been greater. My best nootropic advice page now receives thousands of hits per day. I went from small time to Jefferson’s penthouse suite. Well, that’s a bit of an exaggeration seeing I really don’t make a ton on the reviews (unless you kindly click them and end up purchasing them from me) but life hasn’t been bad. I get a lot of great feedback from users who have purchased from the top list. Today, I introduce my Alpha Brain review. Alpha Brain is a widely used, hugely popular nootropic. Now, full disclosure, it is not the highest ranked nootropic on my page, however, do not discount this brain supplement gem.
I always say to consider my nootropic list to be a good gauge more than it is an exact bible. What works great for some works OK for others. The top list really indicates that all the listed nootropics will work, but how much remains to be seen. They are top 10 because they work. The highest ranking nootropic tends to get the best results. That said, this Alpha Brain review places this nootropic in the middle of the pack (but the pack is pretty darn fine).
Alpha Brain is quality brain supplement that focuses on memory and focus. it is widely considered, via other Alpha Brain reviews, to be a top level brain supplement production.
Alpha Brain Benefits
Alpha Brain benefits according to the manufacturer are that it will improve focus and memory, aid sleep, and help people learn at a faster rate. This is rather standard pitch on the part of a brain supplement, because, why else would you buy one? But the truth is, Alpha Brain ingredients tend to back up their claims. By way of natural ingredients, Alpha Brain should have some effect on one’s ability to focus.
Alpha Brain Ingredients
A nootropic’s success rate will always be fueled by the ingredients it contains. One of the biggest part of any nootropic review will be looking closer at the ingredients listed on the label. If you are new to nootropics, pay attention (as best you can) right now because this is the meat and potatoes. Alpha Brain ingredients pass with flying colors.
Let’s go ahead and have a look at their blends.
You will notice that there are three “blends” listed above. If you are new to nootropics, a blend is a compilation of several ingredients. Additionally, having blends is the one reason I deduct points away from Alpha Brain. I know, that sounds odd, but let me break this down for you. Blends are a way for the nootropic manufacturer to skirt around ingredient amounts. Of course, when you view the label, it appears that Alpha Brain does disclose ingredient amounts. But that’s not completely true. In this case, they only disclose vitamin B6 at 10 mg (that’s not much for vitamin B6). The rest are combined amounts. So, for example, in the Flow blend, we know there is 650 mg of L-tyrosine, L-Theanine, Oat straw and Phosphatidylserine. What we don’t know is how much L-Tyrosine there is. We don’t know how much L-Theanine it contains. We know in both cases there is not more than 650 mg total, but there could also be as little as 1 mg for all we know.
Most of the time, I rate nootropics that use the “blend labeling” very low. However, Alpha Brain comes from a highly respected manufacturer in Onnit and it is well-known to work. Maybe they really are just protecting their blend formulas?
The vitamin B6, as mentioned prior, is rather inconsequential but it is a nice addition. L-Theanine is an amazing nootropic on its own, when combined with B6, as it is with Alpha Brain, it is a powerhouse. Hence, the small amount of B6 is actually rather intelligent. L-Theanine studies have shown over and over that this amino acid works amazingly in the brain. L-Theanine relaxes you, it helps reduce stress and it can turn you into a focus machine. Seriously, even taking L-Theanine alone can put you into a focus trance. Combining it with so many other great ingredients only adds to how powerful it can be. L-Tyrosine is another powerhouse ingredient that helps promote great sleep. Wait, you want to study, memorize, focus, but why sleep? Sleep is the brain’s way of refueling. If you get poor sleep, it can affect your brain’s ability to memorize and focus. L-Tyrosine is a proven sleep enhancer. The combination of B6, L-Theanine and L-Tyrosine, in my opinion, is extremely powerful. The only downside is not knowing how much of each ingredient is in them.
Huperzia and Bacopa and Alpha GPC are three more notable additions to the formula (they are in the second blend). The synthesis of a neuron called Acetylcholine is essential to the brain functioning properly and optimally. These three ingredients work in coordinated fashion to help protect it and spawn it. Huperzia helps protect it, Alpha GPC helps to produce it. This blend is incredibly important.
What’s Good About Alpha Brain?
While Alpha Brain is middle of the pack in terms of my best nootropics advice page, it is a solid, top-level brain supplement that does work. You can’t go wrong if your research journey ends here and you choose to purchase it. Alpha Brain is manufactured by a legitimate company that has a glowing customer satisfaction record. Other Alpha Brain reviews have been nothing short of spectacular. This stuff is good, the folks who make it are good and the people who use it are happy. The ingredients are natural and proven (I’ve linked to research). That’s really the points that matter. There isn’t much else to consider. It works. If you buy it, you will be happy. But at the same time, no shame in continuing the search.
